HEC Pakistan and Microsoft to provide free Microsoft certifications to Pakistani students
The Covid-19 managed to thrust us into the digital era quite unexpectedly. From food services to government meetings, classrooms to concerts, all have gone online. The entire education system around the world is off tracks. Consequently, universities and colleges are forced to remain closed until the pandemic dissipates. As a result many universities have converted their courses and syllabus online, to ensure unhindered education for their students. Keeping in mind the tough times that we all face, educational institutes are now providing many of these courses free of cost. So students can reap the benefits of education even while staying at home.

The programs designed will provide students with skills development and a proper curriculum roadmap for technology. The online assessments will test applicants on Office 365, cloud fundamental courses covering Azure fundamentals, Dynamics 365 fundamentals and Microsoft 365 fundamentals. With the extra time on hands, students can conveniently stay home, study through tutorial and videos and take online exams.
Digitization in education is the ‘New Normal’
“Digital transformation has been at the forefront of every industry in the last few years, and education is no different,” said HEC Chairman Dr. Tariq Banuri. The tools and technology that Microsoft and other online education platforms provide, can help establish a technology rich-culture in the education sector of Pakistan. Moreover, students can acquire new, updated skills which will help them in their careers and establish the potential of technology. Students can now focus on and develop vocational skills in addition to theoretical knowledge. Digitization in education can surely, help bridge the gap between education and employment.
