“The best marriage is that upon which the least trouble and expense is bestowed.”
Do you know how difficult it is to raise a daughter? We are three sisters and my father has a huge responsibility of raising us with the best possible manners, ethics and education. That’s all a parent should do for their children, NO? Make them a good human being and make them stand on their own feet. The concept of dowry, however, incorporates in our society and culture. Before the wedding the family of the bride is obliged to GIFT their little girl everything that a house needs, from appliances to furniture and even gold gems. I, as a daughter, would never agree to this tradition.
My father always says:
‘The thought of dowry is not that you can’t bear the cost of it, it is likewise to demoralize it regardless of the possibility that you can’.
The reason I am here sharing all of this is because the other day I was surfing the internet and came across this appliances ad. It was Orient discouraging the giving of Dowry. I found the ad useful and showed it to my dad and my sisters as one of my sister is getting married soon. I’m proud to announce that my sister’s in laws are totally against dowry.
Many individuals have valued the new thought and the advertisement has sent out a message of where it appears to break the pointless dowry generalizations that are decimating in us. Undoubtedly an excellent thought since a lot of money is spent in purchasing dowry for the daughter, which is truly troublesome for the vast majority of the general population. Numerous end up taking credits just to purchase these things. The best way to eliminate this tradition is to help people understand that a relation, which must be about love and understanding is, rather, laden with materialism and fiscal amounts recorded on contracts which the Orient ad is trying to do. I would say that the #RishtonMeinInnovation, for sure, is a brave demonstration that hits our TV screens interestingly and the message hits hard. Ideally it is achieving the masses and precisely where it’s required. As a society, we must reconsider the demeaning idea of dowry. Also, the government must take genuine actions to impose restrictions on the dowry and must try their best to strictly force these points of imprisonment; else such misfortunes will keep on occurring.
I’m so proud of my khandan!!!!
None of my mamus, khalus and cousins accepted dowry from their wives. #RishtonMeinInnovation

And as Muslims we should never forget the teachings of our Holy Prophet, Indeed, the Prophet stated: ‘the most blessed marriage is one in which the marriage partners place the least burden on each other.’ At one more time, the Holy Prophet (SAW: Peace be upon him) said; “The best marriage is that upon which the least trouble and expense is bestowed.” It is sad that we have departed from the teachings of the Messenger of Allah.
Think about it!
