A language of humanity
“Kindness is the language which the deaf can hear and the blind can see”- Mark Twain
What defines kindness? Can one only commit an act of kindness once they have satisfies their inner self? No. Kindness is a path to reach inner satisfaction; kindness is what makes up a genuine and generous society. Kindness is the universal language that is comprehended beyond the boundaries. Each and every individual understands and speaks this language; communication through this language never goes to waste.
It is this language we plan to speak on the fourteenth of august, How do you speak it? Do you need to build a dam? Well, sure, if you can why not, that would be so kind of you but kindness could be anything, from walking an old lady across the street, helping a friend out financially, pushing a car or helping an old man learn facebook. No one can tell you what kindness is, it has to come from within, because it isn’t limited to a single tangent, it is whatever you want it to be.
Human span of attention slowly deviates with moving time, our motivation towards patriotism is now limited to days, that’s not a bad thing, at least we have these days. So instead of chanting the name of our country out loud and getting road blocks through the city let’s do something which would have a more productive impact on society in general and to ourselves too, it’s not too difficult. This time around on Independence Day send out a salute to your country, how?
Make sure you commit 14 acts of kindness, don’t limit your selves, don’t worry about people judging you, this is not a competition, don’t do it to impress anyone else, do it with conscience and do it to finally start paying your debts to this great nation which has given you to you on this day what you dare to call your ‘right’, your freedom. Long live Pakistan.
